ANEMONE has been a professional dancer for eighteen years and an instructor for eight years. She has studied with and taken numerous weekend workshops with HADIA, YASMINA RAMZY and DENISE ENAN of Canada, IBRAHIM FARRAH, YOUSRY SHARIF, SHEREEN AL SAFY, DAHLENA, SUHAILA SALIMPOR, and MOROCCO of the USA and BEATA ZADOU and HORATIO CIFUENTES of Germany. She has traveled to Egypt and Turkey to study Middle Eastern dance and culture.

In 1990, Anemone produced, directed, designed costumes and stage set and choreographed a Middle Eastern dance production for the Fringe entitled ANCIENT MEMORIES.

ANEMONE has performed all over western Canada in restaurants, for numerous private functions such as weddings, birthday's, conventions, product promotions, fundraisers, the First Night's festival, Street Performers festival and Heritage days.

In 1994, ANEMONE started teaching at various dance studios throughout Edmonton and in 1997-1998 taught for Grant MacEwan Community College and Continuing Education. ANEMONE has a BFA degree in fine arts form the University of Alberta and has designed costumes for both professional and student dancers.
